Description

1920s 9 light front door with 2 raised panels panels. Door fitted into a London home in a large 1920s estate.   Wooden glazing bar gives this home character, which are featured in the door and the bay windows.  The wooden glazing bar isn’t just decorative, it is a traditional joinery method of enabling smaller pieces of glass to be used.  In the 1920s technology was available to make large pieces of glass, but often glazing bar was used as a design feature.   The glass is textured to obscure view and add privacy.  The textured glass is also decorative, being a period 1920s texture.  All 9 light featured in this 1920s front door are double glazed.   Painted in a period 1920s light green colour with Teknos paint.   Brass door furniture and locks finish this elegant door off.
